Campus Ministries

Three of the nine Presbyterian related colleges and universities in North Carolina are within the bounds of our Presbytery: Lees-McRae College at Banner Elk, Montreat College at Montreat, and Warren Wilson College at Asheville.
Each college is served by a College Chaplain.

In addition to these ministries the Presbytery has established a partnership with the two congregations closest to two public universities, to provide a ministry to the students, faculty, and staffs of the University of North Carolina at Asheville and Western Carolina University at Cullowhee. Two pastors are designated as Campus Ministers.

A Presbytery Committee - the Campus Mission Committee - gives oversight to these ministries and provides resources to support, encourage, and interpret the work of ministry of these campus ministers and chaplains.
